I continue to believe that if children are given the necessary tools to succeed, they will succeed beyond their wildest dreams!"  David Vitter, U.S. senator

What inspires and excites you most about your advocacy plan and being an advocate?
To be able to help the children feel that they are part of the program and not just in the program.  You want the children to feel good about themselves and their home life.

What challenges and/or anxieties do you feel related to engaging in the advocacy efforts you have targeted?
I cannot put into word all the challenges that I feel.  I feel that I will let the children down and not be able to do my part.  Not being able to get the support from others to do the job well enough to help the children out.

What do you believe will be most effective in helping overcome any challenging emotions you may be feeling with regard to presenting and implementing your Advocacy Action Plan?
I guess just knowing that it is over and taking place.  I am not good at putting my actions into words, doing the whole process and it not being good enough for the children.

How can you encourage others in their advocacy efforts, and how can others encourage you?

Just letting others know that you are there for them and as stated before that there is power in numbers.  I am not sure how others can encourage me, just knowing that we are all going through this process as a class makes me feel better.
